Job Title: Project Manager – Solutions delivery

Location(s): Boston, MA

Responsibilities:
Mobile Messaging solutions (mms) is seeking
a technically savvy and confident Project Manager to manage and implement mobile
applications and solutions to its customers.

The Project Manager will need to work
closely with mobile carriers, strategic aggregator partners and several mms departments
(sales, account management, development, operations and product management),
plus work with outside 3^rd party customers to set up and test
shortcode based marketing campaigns across carriers in the US, Canada and South
America.

Day to day activities would consist of:

 

• Collecting mobile campaign requirements from customers.
• Interacting with the development team to assess new projects.
• Coordinating with the client on project proposals and approvals
• Defining project plan, tasks and milestones together with the different teams within the service delivery organization.
• Keeping track of project progress, identifying risks and managing client expectations.
• Providing advice to customers on carrier and industry compliance for mobile programs
• Compiling and submitting campaign briefs to all carriers.
• Following up on testing and provisioning of shortcodes across all carriers.
• Provide updates and status to all stakeholders.
• Setting up SMS messaging applications using company’s Web based messaging platform.
• Performing sanity tests to SMS messaging applications prior to moving along to formal QA.
• Supporting existing customers with reporting needs using the messaging platform.
• Evaluating project delivery quality by monitoring key metrics during project delivery and reviewing via project closure report once launched.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of project management
  experience of web or mobile applications development.
• Experience with SMS, MMS, mobile web
  and other wireless data products preferred
• Strong client relationship and project
  management skills.
• Strong technical background in Web
  applications, software development life cycle, API integration and familiarity
  with interaction diagrams between applications and APIs.
• Effective risk management and
  escalation skills.
• Experience with Software Development as
  Project Manager or other technical related position.
• Prior client-facing experience required
• Proven engagement team managerial
  experience, evidence of successfully running complex projects using project
  management tools such as MS Project
• Can-do attitude.
• Hard worker, quick learner, works well
  in a matrix or team environment
• Excellent presentation skills
• Must possess a strong sense of customer
  service and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have a high attention to detail
  and possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Internet savvy, and strong MS Office
  skills.
• Experience in project and program
  management discipline
• Ability to chair client meetings.
• A desire to work in a fast paced and
  deadline driven environment
• BS in business, marketing or BS in
  Computer Science
• Ability to accurately identify problems, determine the best course
  for correction, and to successfully execute the decisions
• Strong oral and written communications: ability to effectively
  communicate with both technical and non-technical people.
• Organizational skills and great attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to generate reports using standard data minding tools such
  as Microsoft Access, Excel pivot tables or similar.
